The Helmholtz International Berlin Research School in Data Science (HEIBRiDS) welcomes applications for PhD fellowships within a collaborative and inclusive research environment. The fellowships will start in January 2027 at the earliest and funding is provided for 4 years. HEIBRiDS projects foster the convergence of data science methodologies with applications in Molecular Medicine, Materials & Energy, Earth & Environment, and Geosciences, encompassing topics in the following areas:
- Machine Learning
- Deep Learning
- Explainable AI
- Large Language Models
- Mathematical Modelling
- Statistical Modelling
- Imaging Data Science
Research will be carried out at one of the partner Helmholtz Centers in the greater Berlin area:
- German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ)
- Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB)
- Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC)
In collaboration with BIFOLD or one of the partner universities:
- Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin
- Freie Universität Berlin (FU)
- Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU)
- Technische Universität Berlin (TU)
