Speaker: Sangyoung Park, TU Berlin

The amount of data available from the mobility sector is rapidly increasing thanks to onboard sensors and vehicle connectivity. This talk will introduce different kinds of data from the mobility sector, and new possibilities they bring regarding traffic monitoring and safety. As data from vehicles are often used in safety-critical applications, data integrity is crucial and must be guaranteed at all costs. However, due to the decentralized nature of the vehicular environment, fault or misbehaviors in motion data could be challenging to detect. State-of-the-art techniques for ensuring data integrity in the vehicular environment will be introduced and some early results from the Chair of Smart Mobility Systems on the vehicles connected and controlled over the
network will be presented.
